I was a Tourism Development Expert for QED Group’s USAID-funded Governance Strengthening Project in Turkmenistan. I provided technical expertise and training in sustainable tourism development to government officials and partner organizations working in related fields.

I developed and delivered a comprehensive tourism training program in tourism branding and marketing; cultural heritage and archaeological tourism; sustainable tourism; ecotourism and community-based tourism; and understanding consumer behavior.

My goal was to help participants better understand tourism and its role in international development using interactive PowerPoint presentations, video clips, interpersonal examples, simulations, case-studies, and class exercises.
