Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma - Durant, Oklahoma (2014)
In 2014, I conducted a Destination Review of the entire Choctaw Nation of southeast Oklahoma (over 10,000 square miles) to outline cultural and natural heritage sites, attractions and events, including both tangible and intangible aspects of Native American culture, which are of tourist interest.
In collaboration with The George Washington University, I produced a comprehensive Tourism Management Plan for future tourism development including a DMO, tour operations, site preparations, event planning, and marketing ideas. As part of the research phase, I designed, conducted and analyzed resident and visitor surveys to help guide in the decision-making process.
I also managed the production process for preparing the new 48-page “Choctaw Country Guide” for 2015. Click here or on the image on the right to download a copy for free.
